FAQ

Please take a few moments to read our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) below.  They will help you to understand a bit more about the shoot process.  If you have any questions feel free to contact us.

01

Are you looking for models?

We don't necessarily look for models, however we do have castings from time to time where we seek models for various projects.  Castings are typically "free" shoots meaning you won't be charged, you will receive either images from the shoots or sometimes products (shirts, jewelry, magazines, posters, etc).  All castings are non paid unless otherwise mentioned.

02

Where are you located?

We are based in northern California, the bay area.  Specifically the Vallejo/Benicia.  We do shoot in studio (94592 zip code) and on location in and around the bay area.  We also travel for photoshoots frequently to other states.

03

I'm running late, what should I do?

Typically a shoot that is more than 15-20 minutes late will be cancelled, no refunds on deposits and no reschedules will be permitted.  This is because often there are other shoots planned that day and 1 person being late throws the entire day's schedule off.  If you are running late it is best that you let the photographer know with as much advance notice as possible.  It is in bad form for a photographer to find out you'll be late by initiating the call to you.  It is also in bad form to call the photographer AFTER your scheduled shoot time to let them know you are running late.  Please plan accordingly for things such as traffic, it's better to arrive 15 minutes early than 10 minutes late.  Common Courtesy is appreciated.

I placed a deposit for a shoot and can't make the shoot time, can I get a refund?

Deposits are used to block out and secure shoot times, therefore they are non refundable. Reschedules are to be permitted at the discretion of the photographer.  If you need to change a shoot date/time please be considerate and give as much notice as possible and the photographer will let you know if a reschedule will be permitted. Deposits will hold shoot dates/times for up to 1 year (365 days), if photo shoot isn't completed within 1 year (365 days) deposit will be forfeited.

06

How long do shoots typically last?

On average a 1 look photo shoot can be shot in about an hour.  Factors that can alter the time include weather or not you are coming shoot ready (hair and makeup done), how many looks you are shooting and if there is makeup changes in between looks.  Travel time to other shoot locations can also alter shoot times.

Do you allow escorts, friends, family at shoots?

No, no exceptions.  In order for the shoot to run as smoothly as possible we do not allow friends, family, escorts, or anyone not directly involved in the creation of the images at the photo shoots.  If you are traveling with someone they will have to find something else to do during the photo shoot time to entertain themselves.

07

What is a model release form?

A model release, known in similar contexts as a liability waiver, is a legal releasetypically signed by the subject of a photograph granting permission to publish the photograph in one form or another.  A copy of my blank model release form can be found here:
